Every rug we make starts as a sample, and not every sample lives up to our standards. A color arrives wrong. A serge isn't wound just so. They're beautiful, they're well-made, but they can't be sold. And they were stacking up, too good to throw away, too flawed to ship.
Until we started cutting them into dice boxes.
Each one-of-a-kind box pairs rescued rug material with wood ranging from black to dark to light, and every color combination is decided by whatever sample is next in line to be cut.
We don't pick. You don't pick. Fate does. So just roll with it.
This listing is for the coffin dice box (9" x 2-1/4"). Available in mini (4"), small (5"), medium (6"), large (8"), ex-large (10") and coffin. Mini and small variants include a leather inset.
